Senior Consultants - Safety and Risk Management

The Role:

Continued growth in the business has created opportunities for experienced risk management consultants to join our team.  As part of the consulting team you will be responsible for conceptualising and scoping assignments with prospective clients, managing assignments and delivering services.  You will have strong skills in more than one of the following areas:

Consulting – facilitating change through development of strong relationships with client teams;

Training and development – designing and facilitating high quality adult learning to a range of organisational levels from supervisor to senior management;

Risk assessment – facilitating risk assessments using tools such as what if, HAZOP, FMEA, Fault tree and Event tree and Layer of Protection analysis;

Auditing – conducting high quality audits against a range of criteria using a consultative approach;

Problem solving – diagnosing issues and presenting and implementing flexible, targeted, practical and effective solutions.

You will have a thorough and practical understanding of risk management and the ability to apply that to the real world of our clients.  Your sound knowledge of business and its operation will bring practicality and wisdom to your advice.  You will have a natural ability to form and maintain relationships with clients and team members.  You will have a majority of the following skills and competencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • First class facilitation skills;
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering or risk management.
  • At least 5 years industry and operational experience;
  • Strong sense of client and customer care;
  • Self starter with discipline in follow through;
  • Team player;
  • Ability to travel and work away from the office.
